The annual Cost vs. Value Report compares average costs for 22 remodeling projects with the value those projects retain at resale in 136 U.S. markets. For homes in the country’s West South Central region (which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana), fiber cement was the best value in siding, returning an expected 77.1% of the investment made. Vinyl siding was not far behind, with an ROI of 70.4%.
